Seeking Your Input for a New Resource

Input Invited for New Learning at Home Series

Your students need ways to move, be creative and learn deeply. I am creating a free learning at home series which you can use with inside your programs or as is. The series is called Deep Learning at Home, where your students can learn to think deeply while having fun.

Here are some ideas I will include:·

  • Growth mindset inside a story

  • Reading comprehension strategies

  • Creative movement and drama strategies to deepen learning

  • Higher-level questioning strategies

  • Teaching responsibility at home

The series will comprise of:

  1. Short stand alone lessons to enhance your lessons or pass on to families as is

  2. Social and emotional learning (SEL)

  3. Music for your lessons (I am working with the composer)

  4. Of course, this training will also be useful for your regular lessons at school when you return

I would love your ideas. What would you like to have included in this training? Reply to this email and let me know.

Remote Learning Ideas:

The chart below is from George Couros. He was a principal and is now a well-known speaker and author of The Innovator’s Mindset and Innovate Inside the Box, both great reads for educators who want to embrace a practical mindset for change.

Connecting

I want you to know that I'm here and I'm well. If anything comes up or you want to share what is going on for you, feel free to reach out. I speak with teachers who share their experiences. They often start the call feeling disempowered and leave the call feeling encouraged and positive.

I invite you to have a short call with me to connect so I can support you. Many of you are on my mailing list but I do not have your phone number. If you do not hear from me and would like a call, you can let me know by responding to this email.

Reach out today. Let’s talk about:

  • how you are doing now that life is different

  • what you would like me to include in the Deep Learning at Home series

  • any social and emotional learning (SEL) needs you may have

  • other ways I can support

We are all in this together so do not feel alone if things come up that you want to talk about. I am here to serve you.

Be healthy and stay connected, socially.
